Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the Al Nassr attack as they face a key clash with Al Khaleej in the Saudi King Cup semifinals on May 1.

With Al Hilal expected to be confirmed as Saudi Pro League champions this month, the King Cup is Al Nassr’s only trophy route in 2024, after falling short in their league title race.

If Al Nassr can get past the semifinal hurdle, they are set to focus their campaign run-in on the final, which is scheduled for May 31.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

This King Cup match at the King Saud University Stadium kicks off on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 p.m. local time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo returned to the Al Nassr squad for their 1-0 league win over Al Khaleej on April 27, with his two-game suspension reduced to one match on appeal, after his red card against Al Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup on April 8.

The veteran striker was dismissed late on in the game, for an elbow on Ali Al-Bulaihi, and the Saudi Football Federation suspended him for the second time this season.

He is expected to start against Al Khaleej today.

This cup game is just four days after Al Nassr beat Al Khaleej 1-0 in the Saudi Pro League but Luis Castro could stick with an unchanged XI. Talisca remains out through injury but Sadio Mane could start on the bench.

Al Nassr predicted XI (3-4-3, right to left): Ospina (GK) — Al-Fatil, Laporte, Alamri — Al-Ghanam, Al-Khaibari, Brozovic, Telles — Otavio, Ronaldo, Ghareeb.

Al Nassr subs subs (9): TBC

Al Khaleej have not indicated any fresh injuries after their league defeat to Al Nassr and midfielder Fabio Martins should start for the visitors.

Al Khaleej predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Sehic (GK) — Al Hamsal, Al-Khabrani, Lopez, Rebocho — Hamzi, Masoud, Rodrigues — Narey, Sherif, Martins.
