Leeds vs. Southampton live stream, TV channel and more

Two of the top clubs in the Championship look to get back positive momentum ahead of the Premier League playoffs.

Leeds United takes on Southampton on Saturday at Elland Road in the regular season finale. Leeds has locked up third place and could potentially secure automatic promotion with a win and an Ipswich Town loss, while Southampton is locked in to fourth place.

It’s been an emotional rollercoaster of a week for Leeds. Last week began with the club winning a wild 4-3 encounter at Middlesborough, only to turn around and get rocked 4-0 to Queens Park Rangers, potentially leaving them in the playoff places instead of an automatic promotion.

Southampton meanwhile, a fellow recently relegated club looking to yo-yo back to the Premier League, appears to have hit a wall, having lost their last three matches. The Saints could use a win just to bring back good vibes to St. Mary’s Stadium.

With so much on the line, this is a game you won’t want to miss. The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

All 12 games on the final day of the EFL Championship season will kick off at the same time 12:30 p.m. BST.

Here’s how that time translates across some of the major territories:

Here’s how to watch this EFL Championship match across selected areas of the world’s major regions:

USA: This game is available on the ESPN+ app. You can access the app on your mobile device or via a Roku, AppleTV, or Amazon Fire TV or Stick.

Canada: This game is available on DAZN Canada.

UK: Fans can watch this game on Sky Sports Football on TV, with streaming options on Sky GO and Now TV.

Australia: BeIN Sports 3 will be showing the match with additional options on their streaming platforms.

Leeds coach Daniel Farke could be without striker Patrick Bamford for another game as well as right-back Connor Roberts, giving the German manager another headache after a poor run of form. He may need to make a change somewhere in the lineup to create a spark and lead Leeds to a dramatic victory.

Leeds United predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Meslier (GK) — Byram, Rodon, Ampadu, Firpo — Gray, Gruev, Gelhardt — Gnonto, Piroe, Summerville.

Leeds United subs (9): TBC

Southampton coach Russell Martin may also make some changes to his lineup, though injuries have already forced his team to dig deep into its bench. Adam Armstrong has 20 goals and 13 assists this season, but nothing in seven games, since April 1.

Southampton predicted XI (4-3-3 right to left): McCarthy (GK) — Walker-Peters, Harwood-Bellis, Stephens, Bree — Smallbone, Charles, Brooks — Adams, Armstrong, Frazier

Southampton subs (9): TBC

With both teams in desperate need for a win, you can expect an end-to-end, action packed game. Leeds United’s defense has really struggled recently, and it could continue against a team in Southampton which has scored 83 goals already this season.

Prediction: Leeds 1-3 Southampton

Here’s how the table looks ahead of the final day of action:

Ipswich will confirm second place if they win or draw at home to Huddersfield. Defeat could block their automatic promotion, but only if Leeds win at home to Southampton, as the Yorkshire side have a higher goal difference.

Both teams are already guaranteed a playoff spot, alongside Southampton, with Norwich City and West Brom only needing a one point maximum to seal their playoff position.
