How to watch Naoya Inoue fight in Australia

0

Naoya Inoue is a rare gem in boxing, willing to fight anyone. Moving up various weight classes, Inoue’s current home is the super bantamweight division, where he is the undisputed champion.

He defends his status against Luis Nery on May 6 at the iconic Tokyo Dome.

Nery won a Fight of the Year contender against Azat Hovhannisyan in February 2023 and made it known he wanted to face the winner of Inoue vs. Stephen Fulton, a fight Inoue won to become WBC and WBO super bantamweight champion. The Mexican fighter had to wait longer for a fight, as Inoue later beat Marlon Tapales in December to become undisputed at 122.

As part of a stacked undercard, Australia’s Jason Moloney looks to defend his WBO bantamweight title against hard-hitting southpaw, Yoshiki Takei.

Here’s how to watch all the action in Australia:

The Inoue vs. Nery pay-per-view will be broadcast live on Foxtel’s Main Event.

Alternatively, fans can order the PPV through streaming platform Kayo, with no existing subscription required.

The event will cost $49.95.

The Inoue-Nery pay-per-view is set to start at 6pm AEST on Monday, May 6.

Moloney vs. Takei is scheduled to be the penultimate fight of the evening, meaning the pair should step into the ring around 8:20pm, although the time will depend on how long the previous bout goes.

The main event is expected to begin around 9:30pm.
