The 2022/23 Champions League final wrapped up the UEFA club season on June 10, 2023, with Manchester City beating Internazionale 1-0 to secure a maiden title.

UEFA was forced to tighten up its schedule in 2022/23 due to the 2022 World Cup, with 2023/24 returning to a more standard structure.

As part of a rapid turnaround, UEFA confirmed plans for next term, as the final heads back to the UK.

The 2024 UEFA Champions League final will be played at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, which boasts a 90,000 capacity.

This will be the ninth European Cup/Champions League final played at the stadium (and its predecessor) making it the arena used most often to stage this match.

UEFA is finally back on track in terms of Champions League final hosts, after being disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 and 2020.

Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium hosted the 2023 final, with the impact of the pandemic forcing a reshuffle. Last year, Paris’ Stade de France was the venue for the final between Liverpool and Real Madrid after Saint Petersburg was stripped of hosting rights following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The ‘home of English football’ most recently hosted the final in 2013, as Bayern Munich edged out Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1.

The 2024 UEFA Champions League final is on June 1, 2024 at Wembley Stadium, in the English capital of London.

The game is set to kick off at 8 p.m. local time, which is 3 p.m. ET in USA/Canada.

UEFA has already agreed the host city for the 2025 Champions League final, with Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena set to stage the game.

Europe’s governing body traditionally announces final hosts in 2-3 blocks with the 2025 and 2026 hosts set to be confirmed in the coming months.
