The Rock Sends a Message to Rhodes, Rollins After Raw

The Rock had some strong words for WrestleMania 40 opponents Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins after Raw went off the air on Monday night.

Raw posted a video on X of The Bloodline coming through the curtain after Raw, and The Rock exclaimed, “F–k them,” in reference to Rhodes and Rollins:

Just days before <a href=” XL, <a href=” has a message for his opponents <a href=” &amp; <a href=” 😲😲😲 <a href=””></a>

In the main event of Raw, Rollins faced Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules match, but there was no definitive finish due to interference from Jimmy Uso and The Rock.

Rhodes showed up to help even the odds, at which point Reigns emerged from under the ring, leading to a vicious assault carried out by The Bloodline.

Reigns and The Rock took turns lashing Rhodes and Rollins with a weight belt, and the cousins stood tall as Raw went off the air.

One week earlier, The Rock made a surprise appearance on Raw, and he left a lasting image with his beatdown of Rhodes.

At the start of last week’s Raw, The Rock whispered something in Cody’s ear, and while it wasn’t initially clear what he said, The Great One revealed this week that he told Rhodes he was going to make him bleed.

In the final segment of last week’s Raw, The Rock launched a sneak attack on Rhodes and he was true to his word, as he left The American Nightmare a bloody mess.

At WrestleMania 40, Night 1 will be headlined by a highly anticipated tag team match, pitting Reigns and The Rock against Rhodes and Rollins.

If The Tribal Chief and The Final Boss win, then the Night 2 main event between Reigns and Rhodes will be contested under Bloodline Rules, however, if Rhodes and Rollins are victorious, The Bloodline will not be allowed to get involved on Night 2.

The Bloodline story is the primary focus of WrestleMania, and The Rock’s successful heel turn has played a big role in getting the WWE Universe excited to see how it plays out.

Punk Provides Positive Injury Update

During his appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani on Monday, CM Punk suggested that his recovery from a torn triceps is going well.

When asked by Helwani about how he is progressing since suffering a torn triceps in the men’s Royal Rumble match in January (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), Punk suggested that he is feeling better than anticipated:

“I feel really, really good. There is part of me that doesn’t want everybody to know. I want to keep a bit of a secret. I feel way better than I think I should. It’s giving me a false sense of security. There is very much the hockey player in my head, ‘You could have made Mania. You could have taped it up.’ They are protecting me against myself.”

Punk made a surprise return to WWE at Survivor Series in November, just a couple of months after receiving his release from AEW.

There was long a thought among wrestling fans that Punk would never return to WWE due to the manner in which he left in 2014, but time heals all wounds, and Punk made it clear in promos that being back in WWE made him feel like he was home.

All signs pointed toward a match between Punk and Rollins at WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight Championship, but when Punk suffered a torn triceps in the Rumble, it took him out of the WrestleMania plans.

Drew McIntyre stepped up as Rollins’ opponent, but Punk has remained in the mix, and announced last week on Raw that he will be on commentary for the WrestleMania match.

Despite how good he feels, Punk is likely still months away from returning to the ring, and he seemed to express appreciation for WWE and his doctors pumping the brakes on things and allowing him to heal properly.

Punk is champing at the bit to return to action, but there is no rush since the pieces are already in place for him to make an impactful return whenever it happens.

WWE has done a great job of building up an issue between Punk and both Rollins and McIntyre, so once Punk is cleared to compete, he could instantly enter into a world title program with one or both of them in the summertime.

WWE Reportedly Tweaked Cargill’s Presentation Because of The Rock

Jade Cargill was officially introduced as the newest member of the SmackDown roster last week, and her entrance differed from what fans saw when she entered the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE tweaked Cargill’s presentation in an effort to differentiate it from The Rock, who recently debuted a new entrance in his own right.

Cargill’s entrance starts with her saying, “A storm is coming,” and while WWE kept that aspect of her entrance from the Royal Rumble, the lightning strikes were eliminated from her entrance on SmackDown.

Lightning strikes are a significant part of The Rock’s entrance, so in an effort to avoid overkill, Cargill was given something different, including a spotlight, which helped make her come across as a huge deal.

After Cargill was introduced as SmackDown’s latest signing, she made her presence felt later in the show by saving Bianca Belair and Naomi from an attack at the hands of Damage CTRL.

Jade took out Asuka, Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai, allowing herself, Belair and Naomi to stand tall as SmackDown went off the air.

Shortly thereafter, WWE announced that Cargill, Belair and Naomi will face Damage CTRL in a six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania 40, marking only Cargill’s second official match with the company.

WWE is clearly try to mold Jade into a massive star, and as long as she can put the other pieces together, she has the type of entrance and presentation that help her stand out from most other members of the women’s roster.
