Perth’s Steve Erceg looks to cap a rapid rise to the UFC title when he takes on Alexandre Pantoja in the UFC 301 main event on Sunday, May 5 (in Australia).

Throwing down in Pantoja’s home town of Rio de Janeiro, Erceg looks to knock off the flyweight champion and take the crown in just his fourth UFC appearance.

A win would make the 28-year-old Australia’s only current UFC titleholder after Alex Volkanovski was dethroned by Ilia Topuria earlier this year.

Here’s what time the fight is due to start in Australia:

UFC 301 is on Saturday, May 4 (May 5 in Australia). The early prelims start at 8am AEST, with the prelims at 10am AEST. The main card is at 12 pm AEST. Pantoja and Erceg should make their way to the octagon around 2:15 pm AEST, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

UFC 301 is in the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The arena can hold up to 18,000+ people. 

In Australia, the UFC 301 main card is available via pay-per-view on Foxtel’s Main Event, which also requires a subscription.
