England’s hopes of winning Euro 2020 were ended by a penalty-shootout defeat to Italy at Wembley Stadium in the final, and the Three Lions will be looking to use that frustration to fuel them at Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate’s side eased to qualification for the tournament in Germany — including successive wins over Italy — and they will be amongst the favourites to lift the trophy this time around, alongside the likes of France and Portugal.

Harry Kane‘s move to Bayern Munich has elevated the England captain to another level, and he will be the key man in Southgate’s attack, flanked by a host of Premier League stars.

Jude Bellingham is another England lynchpin thriving on the European scene this season amid a sensational first campaign at Real Madrid.

The draw for the group phase of Euro 2024 took place in Hamburg on December 2, 2023. This is how England’s group will look at the finals.

England were drawn into Group C of Euro 2024. They will face off against Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia.

England’s first game is against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on June 16. Denmark will be their opponents four days later, and the Three Lions finish the group stage against Slovenia on June 24.

England will hope not to go through as one of the best third-place teams as they would then face Portugal in the Round of 16.

If they win their group, they will face a third-place team in the Round of 16 and the runners-up from Group A or B in the quarterfinals. Not facing a potential group winner until the semifinals likely makes this by far the preferable route for Gareth Southgate’s side.

If England come second in their group, they will meet the winners of Group A, which will could be Germany or Scotland.
