Joe Gibbs Racing had a big day at the qualifiers, and Denny Hamlin led the way.
The team’s success has two of their top racers in the front of the pack to begin the 2024 Shriners Children’s 500 on Sunday.

Hamlin finished in pole position in the qualifying race for the 2024 Shriners Children’s 500 with a best lap of 132.655 miles per hour. This is the 41st pole in his career, and the 150th for Toyota.
He’ll start first at the 2024 Shriners Children’s 500 with his No. 11 car. Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Ty Gibbs will share the front row, starting second with his No. 54 car.
Gibbs finished the qualifying round with the second fastest lap of 132.227 miles per hour.
The 2024 Shriners Children’s 500 is the fourth of 36 points-paying Cup Series races this season. Chevrolet has won the first three races.
