The Timberwolves and Suns will meet in Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinals in Phoenix on Friday night, as Minnesota holds a 2-0 series lead. The Timberwolves took care of business on Tuesday night with a 105-93 victory, which was spearheaded by a 25-point outing from Jaden McDaniels.
Minnesota arguably played its best game of the postseason thus far as it had another impressive defensive outing. The Timberwolves forced 10 turnovers and prevented the Suns from shooting no better than 36 percent from 3-point range. To make matters worse for the Suns, despite making all but four free-throw attempts, they were done in by a combined 36-point performance from Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert.
The Suns return home for the first time since April 9, where they finished 25-16 during the regular-season that included a late-season win against the Timberwolves.
